About the Role

This is a part-time position at 20 hrs/week.

Plans and prepares the technical data for CANES Based Variant (CBV). Analyzes requirements, develops source material, consults engineering and technical staff and works with illustrators and the like in preparing a draft or final product. Provides guidance and direction in the areas of quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. Ensures adherence to specifications. Formats and proofreads documents from Jira/Confluence database. Edits and proofreads complex technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as manuals, procedures and specifications. Responsible for following material/production through the stages of publishing (i.e. layout and formatting) by interfacing with technical writers, illustrators, word processors and the like to ensure the final product meets all required specifications. Participates in the development of department editing standards and styles and the interpretation of government standards. Participates in daily standup meetings with the customer.

Responsible for learning and using Noblis’ standard principles, concepts, processes, structure, techniques, tools, and methodologies to solve routine real-world problems using basic skills. Apply particular project or technical/functional area knowledge and concepts and operate with close supervision, following direction and guidance from others. Engage independently in activities such as research, data gathering, data manipulation and interpretation; consolidate findings and identify key themes from gathered data and analysis. Begin to demonstrate personal flexibility through learning and self-development and the ability to communicate effectively with others.

Requirements 

Bachelors of Science or Arts with an emphasis on technical writing, communications and/or journalism.
Knowledge or experience documenting complex engineering concepts.
Excellent writing skills.
Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Knowledge of computer engineering and information technology
