About the Role

Analyze hardware & software requirements for Naval vessels.
Understand and translate architectural solutions, developing a clear picture as to how each selected technology and subsequent implementation will impact the overall design and capacity of the system
Configure enterprise servers and hardware: BIOS, Drivers, Expansion cards, Networking, remote management(iLO, iDRAC), Cisco IOS
Install and configure VMWare ESXi & vSphere products.
Configure storage arrays, design topologies, and create storage templates.
Identify potential networking issues affecting all CI hardware and work with Network Integration(NI) team to isolate and resolve.
Run, test, and develop deployment automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
Analyze security scan findings and modify configuration of any CI hardware to comply with relevant STIG(s)
Define the backup storage footprint based on architecture decisions and subsystem direction.
Assess new technology and vendor offerings to drive alternative configurations of the compute infrastructure.
Analyze system performance to include quantifying performance parameters, identifying bottlenecks, and measuring throughput.
Perform various Sysadmin tasks while working with Windows, Linux, and Hypervisors.
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies.

Requirements 

US Security Clearance: Active or eligible
Ability to perform on-site work in San Diego, CA
Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of experience (or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree + 3 years of additional experience).
A DOD IAT level 2 approved professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA-security, SSCP, CND, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+. Please see DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications – DoD Cyber Exchange
