Core Values & Code of Conduct

The Marine Executive Association (MEA) is grounded in the Marine Corps’ core values of Honor,
Courage, and Commitment. These principles guide how we conduct ourselves as transitioning
Marines and Marine veterans and reflect the standards we uphold within MEA and across our
partnerships. Our values are not symbolic—they define our behavior, shape our decisions, and
reinforce our responsibility to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and
accountability.

MEA’s reputation depends on the commitment of its leadership and members to uphold this code of
conduct. Membership reflects not only affiliation, but also a shared responsibility to act in accordance
with the following principles:

  • Leadership & Service. Advance MEA’s mission by supporting the needs and values of transitioning Marines while inspiring their growth, aspirations, and long-term success.

  • Empowerment & Opportunity. Promote the social, economic, and professional advancement
of all transitioning Marines through access to resources, networks, and opportunities.

  • Integrity & Transparency. Members shall not knowingly share or support the dissemination of
misleading information and shall not use confidential information for personal gain.

  • Professional Conduct. Execute all responsibilities in alignment with MEA’s National Bylaws
and the highest ethical standards. Members shall not intentionally harm the professional
reputation or standing of colleagues, partners, or clients.

  • Respect & Accountability. Treat all individuals with respect while fulfilling transition support
responsibilities, maintaining fairness, professionalism, and ethical judgment.

  • Organizational Integrity. Members shall uphold the dignity and reputation of MEA and its
partnerships, avoiding any actions that could bring discredit to the organization or the profession.

Reporting Ethical Concerns

MEA is committed to maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability. Any violations of this code
or unethical behavior should be reported promptly to ensure appropriate and consistent action. Our
mission is strengthened by the trust we build and the standards we uphold. These values are
essential to supporting our members and sustaining the long-term success of the Marine Executive
Association.
