What You’ll Get to Do


CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector, is seeking an Sr.   Environment Health & Safety Manager.  You’ll focus on providing Environment Health & Safety Support for CACI’s construction and installation efforts across the world


More About the Role


Monitors the effectiveness of EHS programs as well as the current safety culture and recommends corrective actions, when necessary, by identifying deficiencies or areas needing loss control, risk analysis, compliance attention, or behavioral change.

Provides reports to management on the status of the EHS Program elements including key performance indicators, metrics, and the status of corrective actions.

Review safety metrics to include weekly and monthly incident data to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.

Use both leading and lagging indicators to judge site safety program success and identify areas for additional focus.

Reviews employee safety programs and coordinates worker training in areas relating to safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition recognition/monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

Responsible for accurate record keeping and reporting to any subsequent Federal, State or client specific requirements.

Develops and directs new-employee health and safety orientations and ongoing safety training and education programs.

Leads pre-qualification & post-qualification process for contractors, subcontractors, and vendors that CACI teams up with.

Oversee regular safety audits at all project sites to ensure compliance of our Company safety program, policies, and procedures.

Monitor jobsite safety performance, including risk assessments, project specific and activity hazard analysis, corrective actions, incident investigations, safety metrics and reporting, and site-specific safety training.

Promote CACI’s environment, health & safety vision and objectives through employee & contractor engagement.

Foster and promote safe work practices and implement compliance measures for safety & environmental standards

Manage CACI’s Sustainability Program and help ensure vendors comply with CACI’s waste minimization program.

Instruct and train safety officers in company EHS policies and assist with incorporating our safety standards at their project site.

Drive development of tools/content for Audits & Self Inspections, Incident Report

Travel required.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications


Current OSHA 30-hour certified officer for general industry or construction (Required)

Minimum of 8 years safety engineering, safety management or safety sciences.

Previous experience with supervising & managing contractors EHS performance

In depth technical knowledge of construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards.

High degree of written communication and public speaking ability

Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in a construction environment

Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Extremely detailed oriented

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have


BA / BS degree in industrial engineering, construction management, environmental or safety sciences.

Experience with USACE EM385-1-1 a plus

Effective communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to both technical and business audiences, including to executive level decision makers

Knowledge of EPA, RCRA & DOT Hazardous Materials

Experience as a Site Safety Health Officer on a US military installation

8 years’ experience with defining and operating EHS Programs related to telecommunications and infrastructure projects

Environmental experience: Waste Management, Stormwater, Soil Erosion and Sediment Control, Sustainability

OSHA-40 HR Hazwoper certification

OSHA 500 Certification
