Job Description:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

*Must reside in or around Philadelphia, PA region*

 

Supervisor with Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of the OPM/NBIB Investigation process who leads a team/region of Background Investigators.

 

Responsible for facilitating case closure for region, respond to inquiries and upper management.

 

Manages day-to-day case load of their region; ensures statistical requirements are met

 

Serves as intermediary and advocate between, and for, their field investigators

 

Responsive to upper management regarding case timeliness, report quality, timecards, promotion, rate increases and disciplinary actions.

 

Requires knowledge of investigation techniques and knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations.

 

Requires analysis, decision-making and/or adjudicating results of PSI

 

Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders

 

May manage projects / processes

 

Manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., timecards, overtime for staff).

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related and/or military experience and a minimum of 3 years related work experience.

 

Must be able to work under minimal supervisory utilizing a home-based office or corporate facility.

 

Must be willing to travel in support of region as required

 

Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

 

Must possess a favorable determination based on a T5 investigation from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
