Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Medical Case Manager

Spathe Systems is seeking an experienced Medical Case Manager to support the mission of attracting and supplying qualified candidates to enter the Marine Special Operations Forces (MARSOF) Assessment and Selection (A&S) Program.

Job Description:

SPATHE is looking for a qualified medical case manager familiar with Marine Corps Systematic Approach to Recruiting and Advertisement to fulfill a leadership role in a multi-year contract at MARSOC Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) at Camp Lejeune, NC in support of the MARSOF Recruiting and Advertising (R&A) mission.

The candidate shall perform the following tasks:

Requirements:

The Medical Case Manger shall be responsible for the daily use of the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Health Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS), Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), and WEBWAVE or the current DoD Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to support the R&A mission.

  • The Case Manger shall understand HIPAA laws and regulations and possess a working knowledge of the NAVMED P-117, Navy Manual of the Medical Department.
  • The Case Manger shall provide the Operations Officer weekly updates on the status of candidate Special Operations (SO) physicals.
  • The Case Manger shall be responsible for making liaison with various medical personnel throughout the Marine Corps, enabling effective communication between R&A and all medical departments.
  • The Case Manger shall review required medical documents for completion, accuracy, and potential disqualifying factors. Contractor shall review physician notes to verify that patient information and medical history is documented accordingly.
  • The Case Manger shall confirm that proper medical procedures were followed with regards to patient testing and scheduled follow-up care. Contractor shall conduct follow-up reviews to confirm identified discrepancies have been properly resolved.
  • The Case Manger shall ensure all SO Physicals are Signed or Endorsed by an Undersea Medical Officer prior to assignment to A&S. Contractor shall maintain a positive working relationship with relevant Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and Headquarters Marine Corps Plans, Policies & Operations offices to ensure all medical waivers are endorsed by BUMED prior to an applicant reporting to A&S.
  • The Case Manger personnel may be required to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of the R&A mission as directed by the Assistant Operations Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Must have five years (5) experience in one of the following Military Occupational Specialties: HM-8402, HM-8494, HM-8427, HM-8403, HM-8425, HM 8404.
  • Proficiency in: AHLTA/CHCS/HAIMS/JLV and WEBWAVE.
  • Experience with Manual of the Medical Department (NAVMED P-117).
  • Possess a current passport.

0800-1700 Mon-Fri adjusted hours as needed.

Travel:

  • Travel is required to various CONUS locations in support of this task order. May be required to participate in meetings, briefings, conferences, working groups, courses, and training events as requested by the Government. The candidate travels as initiated by written tasking approved by the COR.
