CACI has the need to add an experienced Fabrication Shop Supervisor to its technical team in Albuquerque, NM. This position requires travel in the continental United States for various projects.
What You’ll Get to Do:
The Fabrication Shop Supervisor should be experienced performing the following tasks:
Supervising equipment integration teams. This position will supervise a team of 4 welder / fabricators / machinists with varying levels of expertise in their field.
Coordination with and supervision of external vendors.
Planning and initiating fabrication processes and mechanical equipment manufacturing.
Mechanical component fabrication.
Maintenance and repair of all shop equipment and tools.
Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, welding, design and fabrication.
Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes.
Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation to include following test procedures and recording results.
More About the Role:
This position requires an active Secret clearance to start and the person selected for it will need to be able to obtain up to a Top Secret clearance at a future date.
Possess proven problem solving skills and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Use of various powered and hand tools will be required.
Will be expected to lead an experienced team, provide guidance and assistance to employees.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance; a Secret Clearance is required to start and you will need to obtain up to a Top Secret at a future date.
University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years related work experience.
Requires experience and job knowledge of welding and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
Minimum of 15 years of shop experience. Vocational or technical education / certifications in addition to related work experience is a plus.
GTAW / TIG welding
Shielded Metal Arc Welding
Machine Shop Equipment Operations
Fabrication Shop Machinist
Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands and fingers to operate tools and various equipment. Standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching and handling, pushing and pulling. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
Able to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions and distinguish all colors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiarity with CNC and water jet equipment operations

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $59,400-$121,800. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
