Deputy Project Manager – Operations (DPMO)

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the PM in providing leadership, management, and direction for TO security personnel.
  2. Manage all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, and assessing performance of assigned security personnel.
  3. Ensure that all TO security personnel abide by the contract mandated standards of conduct
  4. On a short-term basis, and only in the absence of the PM or other PM qualified personnel, may assume the onsite role and responsibilities of the PM in an acting capacity.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must possess either:
  1. A Master’s degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of applicable work experience.

a.       A minimum of three (3) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing Government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force.

b.      A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been protective security experience on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts or other DS-related security program.

c.       A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been supervisory experience.

  1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and six (6) years of applicable work experience.

a.       A minimum of five (5) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing Government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force.

b.      A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been protective security experience on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts or other DS-related security program.

c.       A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been supervisory experience.

  1. An Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and nine (9) years of applicable work experience.

a.       A minimum of seven (7) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing Government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force.

b.      A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been protective security experience on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts or other DS-related security program.

c.       A minimum of three (3) years of this experience must have been supervisory experience.

  1. Eleven (11) years of applicable work experience providing services to DOS

a.       A minimum of seven (7) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing Government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force.

b.      A minimum of seven (7) years of this experience must have been supervisory experience.

  1. Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course and guard training course
  2. Must attend and successfully complete a supervisory course meeting the requirements

Upon bio approval and before beginning work on the contract, the DPMO shall:

  1. Attend and successfully complete the protective security specialist (PSS) training course
  2. Qualify with the Glock-19, M4 or MK18 as specified by the designated TO, M240, and M249, re-qualifying
  3. Complete the Physical Readiness Test, at the sixty-five (65) percent performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the TO.
  4. Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as identified in the TO.
  5. Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.
