About the Role
Position Overview
Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior Naval Architect that is looking to continue their maritime experience with an awesome team. This candidate will work within the Ship Design Team to engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on a variety of acquisition and sustainment projects.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials;
Experience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design;
Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats;
Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Experience / Certification Requirement
6 years of Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering designing functional internal and topside arrangements for marine vessels, preparation of functional studies of stability and safety, studies and calculations for determination of machinery.
1+ year federal ship or boat building required.
DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.
PE, PMP, DHS SELC, or DHS PM preferred.
Education
BS or MS in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
