About the Role

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:
Prepare accurate, relevant, and well-coordinated documents, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.
Develop new or revised products based on enterprise templates, style guides, and governing regulations and orders.
Initiate, monitor, and manage document staffing processes.
Coordinate with program teams and leadership to ensure accuracy and continuity across products.
Participate in meetings and review processes related products.
Conduct all required research and analysis to ensure products are comprehensive, relevant, current, and fully synchronized across all competencies, portfolios, programs, and projects, as applicable.
Maintain well-organized product archive and staffing action tracker.
Prepare and maintain operations, standard operating procedural documentation, user guides, technical meeting minutes, technical publications, and manuals. Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of Department of Defense (DoD) end user audience.
Format, edit, and perform quality assessment for various customer deliverables including test reports, user stories, Software Design Descriptions, System Interface Agreements, Software Development Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Build Technical Reviews, Capability Support Plans, Controls Policy Manuals, and System Administrator Guides.


Must be a critical thinker and problem solver.
A proven ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text
Must be a subject matter expert with demonstrated understanding of copyediting principles, grammar, formatting, and governing regulations.
Must be able to work independently and write and edit multiple products simultaneously.
Must be detail oriented and highly organized, able to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in written and oral communication to articulate and explain recommended changes regarding assigned draft documents.
Knowledge of the Marine Corps organizational structure, acquisition, and operations and administration preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
Required Experience:
Position requires minimum of 3 years of experience developing and writing military documents in support of military organizations.
Required Education, Licenses and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Secret Level
