About the Company
Esscoe, LLC is seeking a Security System Installation Technician to install, program, test, and
maintain low voltage electronic access control and video security systems and products. The
individual will apply knowledge of electronics, software, networking, computer server/workstation
hardware, control systems, wiring, and overall building construction to implement and troubleshoot
integrated security solutions. The individual must have a basic understanding of computer
programming and networking and possess excellent communication skills to interact with a variety
of clients and subcontractors in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
About the Role
Navigate and install complex, building-wide or multi-site IP video, intrusion and access control
systems.
Read and interpret installation blueprints, electrical schematics and job scope details to verify
equipment locations and overall design.
Troubleshoot, identify and diagnose new system installations to ensure proper functionality.
Test and inspect installed systems to prescribed standards.
Document installation process both internally and externally as required.
Communicate project progress and status to Esscoe project managers.
Comply with company safety and quality control standards.
Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction and communication.
Travel to site locations as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Basic understanding of electrical circuits with ability to troubleshoot for proper operation.
Experience with low voltage electronics equipment including electrical wiring and installation.
Experience with basic electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meters and continuity
testers.
Experience with hand tools such as a screwdriver, wire strippers, crimp tools, etc.
Basic computer knowledge and experience with common desktop productivity applications
including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF creator, email, etc.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware for networks such as switches and routers.
Ability to read schematics and follow written direction.
