About the Role


A Tech III is the highest non-Lead role for personnel in the field. This person is accountable for executing a project’s installation in the day-to-day. Under the direction of the Site Lead, a Tech III seeks to achieve critical milestone dates for the assigned project. Expectations for a Tech III encompass those for a Tech I or II - being accountable, showing up with the required tools and PPE, and completing tasks as assigned with a positive attitude and attention to detail. Additionally, a Tech III is expected to have nearly full system comprehension, and aid the project leadership team in ensuring the system is built correctly. This role reports to a Project Foreman on a day-to-day basis.

Job Duties:
Install cable pathway, rough-in cable runs, terminate 1⁄2” coax cable / install connectors (MFR:
Commscope, JMA, RFS. Connection type: N, 4.3-10)
Cat cable termination (RJ45 crimp, AMP punch down), continuity testing
Install wall and rack mounted equipment. (MFR: Comba, Nextivity Cel-Fi, SOLiD)
Advanced cable dressing and building splitter trees.
Roof work: erect masts/sleds, mount donor antennas, run, dress, support cabling, grounding & weatherproofing
Conduct cable segment sweep testing and interpret results (Distance to Fault & Return Loss)
Conduct system and branch PIM testing and interpret results.
Interface professionally with external points of contact.
Track and report on project status.
Implement design changes or revisions from Engineering.
Arrive at work at agreed-upon site start times, show up with appropriate tools & equipment.
Display professionalism in all interactions with team members and external points of contact.
Keep material staging areas organized and neat, regularly clean-up work areas as you go.
Keep track of all tools, equipment, and project materials in your possession.


Basic Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of technical & operational experience in technology integration, with experience in some of the
following fields: In-building wireless systems, RF Technologies, Cellular and Public Safety Systems.
Demonstrated success interpreting system designs to install equipment correctly
Experience working on cross-disciplinary, cross-functional teams to achieve success
Proficient in Office 365, Bluebeam, and other computer and mobile-app related tools
Fluency in English (both written & verbal)

Tool & Equipment Competencies:
1⁄2” coax cable prep tools, Cat cable RJ45 crimper, HILTI powder-actuated tools
Basic hand / power tools (Screwdriver, torque wrench, crimper, Hammer drill, circular/jig saw)
Fluke LinkIQ continuity tester, Coax Segment Sweep testers – Kaelus iVA and Anritsu S332E
Coax Cable PIM testers (Anritsu PIM Master)

Additional Job Requirements:
Must be willing to work in the greater Denver area
Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends
Must be 18 years or older
Must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
