The firm services a diverse mix of public and private clients in the Healthcare, Higher Education, and Government/Municipal markets.

We are looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer with strong design skills sought to support our growing Buildings Group.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Able to provide calculations, design narratives, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for Electrical power, lighting, communications, and special systems for new and renovation building projects
Reading and creating drawings in AutoCAD or Revit BIM. BIM experience a plus.
Providing construction administration (Submittal review, RFI, inspections, and punch list) for projects designed by the engineer.
Travel to project sites (throughout NY and PA) for owner meetings, field investigations, and construction administration.
Reporting to the Director of Building Engineering, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. The Sr. Engineer will be able to manage electrically-led projects.

Requirements 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
Minimum 3-5 years in Building specific engineering, or consulting engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer, or the ability to Obtain Licensure within One-Year.
Proven experience utilizing AutoCAD and Revit BIM in a design production environment
Experience designing Electrical Systems, including power distribution, equipment power connections, lighting design including controls, telecommunication systems in buildings (Voice/Data), access control systems / cameras, fire alarm systems, and mass communications.
Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education and Government/Municipal markets preferred.
Must be physically capable of performing field investigation of existing systems, climbing ladders, and negotiating congested electrical/mechanical rooms.
Ability to travel regionally (approx. up to 300 miles) representing the firm at all stages of a project’s development, including overnight stays, typically constituting approximately 10-15% of the Engineer’s time.
