MARINE FOR LIFE, MARINE EXECUTIVE ASSOCIATION FORM ALLIANCE TO ASSIST MARINE CORPS VETERANS

Quantico, Va., June 13, 2011 — Marine For Life and the Marine Executive Association have formed an alliance to increase the opportunities for Marine veterans in communities throughout the United States.

The two organizations signed an agreement of understanding at a ceremony during the Marine Executive Association luncheon, held June 10, at The Clubs at Quantico.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will share employment opportunities and networking resources, both online and at in-person events.

By combining forces, Marine For Life and the Marine Executive Association will have the opportunity to strengthen their national networks of Marine-friendly employers, organizations and individuals.

“This partnership is a great step forward in pulling together the various Marine networks into a more integrated, larger network across the country.

“Being able to refer Marines making the transition to civilian life to individuals and employers already in local MEA networks, will multiply the number of opportunities we can provide for our Marines,” said Col. Joseph T. Krumm, Marine For Life’s director.

Marine For Life is an organization of the United States Marine Corps, which assists Marines making the transition to civilian life, Marine reservists and Marine veterans throughout their lives. The Marine For Life network — Marines, Marine veterans, employers, mentors, educational institutions and civic and veterans’ groups — helps Marines at all stages of their lives.
