As the Senior Project Manager, You will be part of a team responsible for all aspects of IT project governance, assessment, management and control for an Information Systems Program Management Office. You will contribute to – and oversee – varying tasks, including performing duties associated with writing PM and IT processes, policies, and procedures; process improvement activities;  establishing/tracking performance metrics; assisting the client with retroactively developing system documentation for existing systems to satisfy audit/compliance requirements; and other related tasks.

Additionally You will contribute to – and oversee – varying tasks within one or more of the following PMO areas:

·         Program/Portfolio Management

·         Project Support

·         Investment Management,

·         Change/Configuration Management


Your work will include but is not limited to the contributing to and/or overseeing the following activities:

IT Governance / Oversight Project Feasibility: Project Compliance (standards, methods, artifacts); Performance Metrics; Organization/Project surveys (as-is analysis, requirement fit analysis, satisfaction assessment); Gap analysis / trend analysis; Technical Liaison Support (e.g., Agile practices, CONOPS, C&A)
Project Planning and Management: Functional Analysis; Project Risk Management; Project Briefings; Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC), Agile Methodology, PMBOK, ITIL
IT Investment Management:  Review IT Investments; Cost/Benefit Analysis; Return on Investment; Management of Software Assets; Data Call Response; Business case development, alternative analysis
IT Strategic Planning: Research: IT Strategic Planning; IT Business Roadmap; IT Consolidation strategy; Performance Measurement Planning, Data Collection, and Reporting; Knowledge or familiarity with Federal Governance processes i.e. Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC),
IT Portfolio Management: Portfolio Program Planning; IT Project Portfolio (Project Backlog); Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Tools: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio); SharePoint (user); Agile
General Skills: Liaison; Communications; Special Projects; Workflow diagram development, review; Charts/table development; Support Performance Measurement Planning; Data Collection; Metrics and Reporting; Participate in project planning and schedule; development/maintenance activities; Provide Weekly and Monthly Status Report inputs; Provide meeting support (facilitate meetings, prepare agenda, prepare project briefings, present to the stakeholders, document and distribute meeting minutes, and track actions) for all assigned projects; Support other PMO tasks as assigned.


·         Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology)

·         6+ years of relevant IT Portfolio Management experience

·         3 years analyzing management, business and technical issues related to program management and information systems

·         3 years providing guidance to the business implications of various systems

·         3 years collaborating on feasibility studies and systems planning

·         3 years assisting in formulating systems scope and objectives

·         3 years devising and/or modifying procedures for managing complex programs

·         Agile experience and a broad range of IT knowledge/experience is required

·         Must have a minimum of Secret Clearance



·          Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

·          ITILv3 certification
