Essential Functions

Collects, compiles, and analyzes research data.

Uses statistical methods to analyze research data.

Prepares or assists with preparing reports of research findings.

Assists with authoring or editing technical reports/manuscripts and summary findings.

Assist with planning, developing, coordinating, and administering research projects.

Assists with formulating research objectives, programs, and priorities.

Manages the breeding and genotyping of animal colonies.

Manages and overseas research equipment and maintenance needs.

Orders and prepares buffers and research reagents as needed, and keeps a log.

May trains users on the operation and data management of research equipment.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

No minimum experience required.  Knowledge of statistical concepts and methods and their application to research analysis. Knowledge of research methods, and techniques. Skilled in using Microsoft office software.  Ability to plan, organize, and oversee research projects.  Ability to provide reports (oral and written/manuscripts) on research findings, and to communicate effectively.
