Description/Job Summary

 

To support manufacturing by assisting in maintaining good production efficiencies in accordance with process requirements

 

Responsibilities/Duties

 

•Move raw materials and finished goods to processing or dispatch areas of the warehouses, docks, and production floor
•Operate a forklift and/or a vertical lift to perform duties such as lift, stack and un-stack containers, crates, and pallets of goods in designated areas of the warehouse, and materials in presentation at the production line

•Track and ensure inventory is stored in the correct area of the warehouse for locating easily when processing orders
•Accurate loading of transport vehicles and ensure loads are evenly and securely placed
•Document product movements utilizing scan guns
•Keep a daily workload record and assist with the physical inventory
•Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and management in evaluating the materials system

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

 

Required Skills

 

•Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Operate a forklift and/or a vertical lift

•Operate at heights up to 30 feet
•Read and interpret production paperwork (i.e. logs, daily workload reports)
•Work at docks and trailers with varied temperature ranges
•Lift/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs

Must have:

•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Basic math skills

 

Required Experience

 

•No experience required

 

Preferred Experience

•At least 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred*
*Warehouse environment has moderate forklift traffic, and may be cool in the winter and hot in the summer
•Previous experience using scan guns preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

Required Education

 

•High School Diploma or GED
