Cyber Planner

The Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) Operations Group (OPSGRP) has a critical requirement for mission-support services to enhance and facilitate rotational unit training. JMRC provides mission-support services, and associated ancillary materials, for the strict purpose of operating training systems, support equipment, devices and providing services in a training environment that directly supports the JMRC mission.

IDS is seeking a Joint Cyber Planner to support JMRC in Hohenfels, Germany, in analyzing the campaign plan and other command strategy, policy, and doctrine to ensure commander direction and command strategy are adequately interpreted into actions in alignment with strategic and intermediate military objectives.


  • Conducts research, analysis, and evaluation of network planning/operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques and procedures
  • Responsible for all aspects of technical simulation/ABCS operations, including setup, tear down, database operations, systems tests and backup, workstation operations, communications requirements, After Action Review (AAR) systems, and required training for augmentation personnel
  • Determines whether the campaign plan, as written, properly captures and describes an approach to implement all guidance to the command from higher echelons and national and military strategies and policy documents
  • Develops briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assisting in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of training, exercises, combat, and contingency plans and operations
  • Develops and integrates cyberspace capabilities into deliberate, contingency, operation, and crisis action planning
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of cyber capabilities and the Joint Operational Planning process to identify, track, and resolve issues impacting training, exercises, and daily operations
  • Provides analytic support to planning, execution and assessment of cyberspace operations
  • Prepares cyber assessments based on the collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information
  • Coordinates activities and events in conjunction with the Joint Information Operations (IO) Range in support of program requirement
  • Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations and findings for senior US government officials


  • Prior experience as a Training Analyst and Feedback Analyst at a CTC
  • Experience as a Cyber Planner
  • Experience providing analytic support to planning, execution and assessment of cyberspace operations activities
  • Possess the level of communication skills required to authoritatively and efficiently brief military and civilian leadership via written products or presentations and is proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Active SECRET security clearance
