We are looking for experienced and highly engaging Commercial Banking Officers to help us increase our commercial loan portfolio. Under the direction of the Chief Credit Officer you will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships within their portfolio and soliciting profitable new business for the Credit Union.

Some of the responsibilities are;
• Examines and analyzes complex commercial loan requests, including financial statements and tax returns to substantiate borrower’s financial ability to qualify pursuant to current loan underwriting criteria and standards.
• Develops and implements marketing plans for maintaining and expanding referral relationships with real estate agents, loan brokers, community development companies, attorneys, accountants, financial planners and other key referral sources.
• Solicits and develops new business through sales calling efforts to achieve established goals.
• Expands existing relationships by consistently communicating with business members for opportunities to meet additional needs with other products or services.
• Maintains knowledge of all commercial loan and depository products and services.
• Partners with Branch Managers to identify loan opportunities with existing and potential members.
• Interviews loan applicants, gathers required documentation, conducts loan closings and guides members through the loan origination process from beginning to end.
• Recommends loan proposals and structure for approval and works closely with the lending staff to complete the underwriting, approval, documentation and closing process.
• Consolidates applicant information into a working file for underwriting and analysis purposes.
• Manage loans including following up with collections or delinquencies, collecting updated financials annually, and performing regular site inspections.

Some of the requirements of the job are;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience required.
• Ten or more years commercial lending experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of current and approved methodologies of risk measurement.
• Knowledge of USDA and SBA Loan Programs and Standard Operating Procedures, as well as, Credit Union products, services, programs, and promotions.
• Ability to be bonded.
