External Job Description
Position Specifics: The selected candidate will act as the west coast Quality Assurance Manager for the Systems Integration PMO. This individual will conduct QA and Safety audits and surveillances at company facilities and job sites and is based out of the San Diego office. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with internal and external customers to resolve Quality Assurance issues. This position reports to the Systems Integration PMO Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualified candidates must possess the following knowledge and skills:
. Ability to read and interoperate Military installation Drawings and LARs. . Familiarity with Navy Standard TS9090-310 Navy Modernization Program Management and Operations Manual, including familiarization with Quality Assurance Workbooks. . Demonstrated knowledge of installation standards, Quality Assurance (QA) standards, and safety standards related to installations aboard naval vessels. . Strong verbal and written communication skills. . Requires experience leading, directing and managing others. . Must have ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and base access credentials. . Proficiency with use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe PRO and NUANCE. . Familiarity with reading understanding and printing POA&M information in Microsoft Project. . Familiarity with use of general office equipment such as network printers and digital PDF senders. . Must be able to travel locally between company facilities and worksites. Additional travel will be required, estimated at 25%. . Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working with Military systems, training, installing or inspecting the installation of systems/equipment onboard naval vessels preferred.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Physical Requirements: May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5 years relevant experience; OR Master’s degree plus 4 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job’s education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor’s degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.
